Celine Dion cancels all her tour dates due to the disease she is suffering from
Through her Instagram account, Canadian singer Celine Dion posted a long message informing her fans of the cancellation of her shows in 2023 and 2024, as she continues to struggle with the neurological disease she suffers from
It was last December when Celine Dion informed through a video posted on Instagram that she suffers from a neurological disease known as “Stiff Person Syndrome”, which causes her pain and difficulty in her movements. That made her postpone her presentations to resume them in the spring and summer of 2023, but now she shared a long message in which she once again cancels her shows until further notice.
The 55-year-old Canadian singer explained in her post the reasons that led her to make this decision: “I am so sorry to disappoint you all once again. I am working very hard to get my strength back, but going out on tour can be very difficult even when you are 100%. It’s not fair to you guys for me to keep postponing shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s better that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to get back on stage again. I want you all to know that I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again! – Celine xx…”
Celine has not performed in concert since 2019, and with the Courage 2023-2024 tour she was to tour over 15 countries on her triumphant return to the stage. As for Stiff Person Syndrome, it is an incurable disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, causing difficulty of movements and spasms throughout the day.
