Australian TV star Abbie Chatfield has divided internet users by showing off the outfit she chose to go to a restaurant with her friends. According to the 28-year-old, she was insulted by a man who didn’t like her outfit.

She rose to fame as runner-up in the seventh season of ‘The Bachelor Australia’. As well as other appearances on reality shows, Abbie is currently well known as a judge on ‘The Masked Singer Australia’.

The celebrity took to her Instagram stories and feed, where she has almost half a million followers, to report on the fracas at the restaurant. Abbie showed off her low-cut blouse in a selfie and wrote: “A man next to us at dinner was saying how disgusting my blouse was.”

“Humiliating me to his wife! Saying he’d be embarrassed if his daughters wore that,” she continued. “In return, my friends spoke up and told him what he was saying, and I called him a sexist pig loud enough for him to hear.”

In the post’s caption, she added: “Your kids would probably be embarrassed if they heard what you were saying!!! Me wearing a hot top doesn’t compare to you spending the evening focusing on my breasts and making it the main topic of conversation.”

Later, Abbie posted about it again, but this time upset with her own followers, because some said she should “expect” all this unwanted attention as the top was too “revealing”. She hit back at the critics and said that the victim shouldn’t be blamed: “No one should comment on someone else’s ‘revealing’ outfit, ever.”

She received support from several internet users in the comments. “I’d be more upset if my daughter was so hot and didn’t wear that blouse,” joked one. “I also feel that people would act differently if someone with a flatter/smaller chest wore this. Even if you literally have no control over it!” said another. “Honey, if I looked as good as you, I’d wear this outfit to the supermarket every week,” assured another.
