Ana Mena cancels her concert in Burgos due to a health problem and Ana Guerra sends her a live message of support
The singer from Malaga had planned to offer her show during the festivities of the city but a voice problem has made it impossible for her to perform. The singer from the Canary Islands has ended up taking her place.
For weeks we have been witnessing a frenetic pace of work for Ana Mena, who day after day strives to surprise us and give the best of herself. In the last few months alone we have seen her promote and release her second album, Bellodrama, start her Bellodrama Tour, launch Acquamarina with Guè, announce her upcoming collaboration with Fred de Palma and make constant trips between Spain and Italy in order to give herself completely to her audience.
There comes a time, however, when the body asks us to stop. And so it has ended up happening yesterday, when the Malagueña was forced to cancel her concert in Burgos as a result of a health problem. A performance during the festivities of the city scheduled to begin after midnight that finally, and thanks to a work against the clock by the city council, has been able to occupy Ana Guerra.
“Hey what’s the weather in Burgos that we play tonight!!!! Let’s send all our energy to the wonderful @AnaMenaMusic so that she recovers as soon as possible” wrote the canary on Twitter at about six o’clock in the afternoon, announcing a concert in record time for that same night.
For her part, Ana Mena also took advantage of her presence on social networks to send a statement to all her fans and give explanations in her own handwriting: “First of all I would like to tell you that I am also very sad and for us it is never nice to have to cancel a show, there is nothing I like more in the world than to get on stage and be with you [. …] I’ve been a couple of weeks non-stop singing every day from one place to another, I’m between Spain and Italy promoting the new singles and it’s been a beautiful few weeks of hard work but also very tiring. A week ago I started to drag an aphonia that I have been more or less solving daily with the use of some medicines to, somehow, go out of step. Yesterday I had to go back to them to sing at LoveMi. When you do two songs under the effects of these anti-inflammatory drugs it may seem that nothing happens to you, but if there is no voice rest, the situation continues.
When I woke up this morning my throat was no longer responding, I went to two doctors this afternoon and they all told me to rest my voice and continue with the treatment. This is the reason why we had to cancel” explained Ana Mena.
After midnight, she also shared on her Twitter account a message that Ana Guerra herself sent her live during her concert, where she also explained her absence and dedicated a song to her. “bella x dentro y x fuera @anaguerra” she wrote.
Undoubtedly, it’s a bad experience for the singer from Malaga and from here we join the wishes of the canary for her to recover as soon as possible.
