Scandalous termination at Microsoft
A scandal recently broke out within the well-known developer giant Microsoft. As a result, the technical employee named Alex Kipman has been pressured into resigning. Until recently, Kipman led the development of the Xbox Kinect and also that of the Microsoft HoloLens smart glasses. Now, however, allegations of misconduct from his work at the well-known company Microsoft have heralded the end.
What is Kipman accused of?
First of all, it has come to pass within the corporation that Kipman appears to have inappropriately touched his female employees. Then he noticed that he watched VR porn and that during working hours.
These incidents were noticed seven years ago. Because the image of the VR headset was reflected on the large transmission monitor in the conference room, all employees could see that the technical director was watching a sexualized pillow fight. He probably just wanted to test the new prototype.
Additionally, the incidents followed the inappropriate touching, with Kipman rubbing a co-worker’s shoulder. Not even repeated stop signals from those affected persuaded him to refrain from doing so, according to the allegations.
But now Microsoft has had enough and the business level is taking action. Last Tuesday, the company published an email from Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and AI Group, which said: “For the past few months, Alex Kipman and I have been talking about the team’s journey. We decided together that this is the right time for him to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.
I appreciate the tremendous vision Alex has provided to Microsoft over the years and everything he has done to advance our Metaverse offerings. Alex is committed to supporting the teams in the transition process over the next two months and ensuring success before pursuing the next steps for him.”
Microsoft therefore did not fire him without notice, but instead suggested that he go out on his own.
