Alec Baldwin used his Instagram account to send an inspiring message for Christmas, but also to acknowledge that he is going through the most difficult moments of his life due to the shooting that he did in the “Rust” recordings.
The American actor appreciated the countless expressions of support he has received from his followers since the tragedy occurred, in which he accidentally killed the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, after handling a prop weapon.
“Merry Christmas. I wanted to take a moment to thank all the people who sent me such kind words, best wishes, strength, hope, prayers, thoughts and lots of encouragement”, he began narrating while walking in the open air.
“I received hundreds, hundreds of emails from friends, family and colleagues and people that I had not heard from in a long time to send me strength, good wishes and more. I am really grateful to them.” Baldwin continued.
As expected, the actor also made reference to what happened in the recordings of the movie “Rust”, where he accidentally murdered his partner.
“I am looking forward to some aspects being left behind, of course. But for all of us involved, we can never forget what happened,” he pointed out and then added that “there is not a day that I do not think about that”, in clear allusion to the tragic accident.
