June 8 – Luke Hemmings, a member of 5 Seconds of Summer, and Sierra Deaton, winner of ‘The X Factor US’ in 2013, announced on their social networks that they are engaged.
“With shaking hands but with a full heart, I proposed to my best friend earlier this year,” Hemmings wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos with Sierra. “I love you Thao and I can’t imagine my life without you,” she added.
The singer also shared the same series of photos on Instagram with the message: ” It was fun to keep this a secret for so long, but my heart is about to explode to the top , ” Deaton wrote. “I can not wait forever” , added.
Hemmings and Deaton began dating in 2018, making their social media relationship official in August of that year. Last year, the two spent part of the quarantine together due to the coronavirus pandemic in Los Angeles .
5 Seconds of Summer postpones ‘No Shame Tour’
On May 3, the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer , of which Luke Hemmings is a member, announced that they will postpone their tour, ‘No Shame Tour’ , in the United States, Canada and Mexico, once again.
“It is still important that we act with caution and security for all. With that in mind, we will have to postpone our next tour dates once again, to a period that we can all be in, ”they reported in a statement.
Although the tour will be postponed, the band announced that they are continuing to work on new music. “We are in the studio as we write this, so we are also happy to be working on new music to accompany the change from the tour to 2022!” They wrote.
