• Attorney Cohen took to his social networks to share his joy over the lawsuit filed against Donald Trump, in addition to thanking the attorney general for mentioning him during his conference

Michael Cohen, who was a lawyer for Donald Trump, was satisfied and shared his joy, after the attorney general of New York, Letitia James, filed a civil lawsuit for tax fraud against the former president, his three children and the Trump Organization .

Attorney Cohen posted a message on Twitter in which he thanked Prosecutor James for bringing him up during her conference.

“I want to personally thank James for acknowledging my involvement and assistance in bringing accountability to the Mandarin Mussolini!” Cohen tweeted.

And he continued his post: “My journey to the truth has been filled with sadness, pain and anger. Today’s announcement makes it all worth it!!!” he wrote.

During the press conference announcing the lawsuit against the Trump family, Attorney General James noted that Michael Cohen had played a significant role in launching the investigation, which took three years and involved a review of documents and interviews with 65 witnesses.

“Mr. Trump and his allies may say that these sanctions are too harsh or that this is part of a witch hunt. I will remind everyone that this investigation began after Michael Cohen, his former attorney, testified before Congress and shed light on this misconduct,” Letitia James said when she filed the lawsuit.

Michael Cohen testified that Donald Trump overestimated his wealth before he became president. In testimony he said that he inflated his assets by applying for a loan to purchase the Buffalo Bills NFL team in 2014.

As part of the lawsuit, the New York attorney’s office barred Donald Trump, Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump from doing business in New York state, barring them from buying real estate for five years, in addition to forcing them to pay about $250 million in restitution and limit their access to loans.

Attorney Cohen was once one of Trump’s closest advisers but turned on him after he was accused of facilitating a secret payment to a porn actress to keep her from revealing an alleged affair with Trump.

Michael Cohen served a sentence in prison and from that date he returned against the former president and his family. He also used his Twitter to make fun of Donald Trump with photos and jokes, in one of them he promoted his book “Revange”.
