The allies of Donald Trump are seriously concerned about the former president’s close relationship with Boris Epshteyn, who has become his legal advisor, despite being involved in some investigations that affect the tycoon as well.

According to Politico, for a long time Boris Epshteyn has frustrated the Florida lawyer Chris Kisem to take a more aggressive stance against federal prosecutors in the case of the Mar-a-Lago documents but people close to the former president have pointed out that his approach has not helped him at all.

“People on the president’s old legal team were able to prevail over some legal strategies that he didn’t agree with, but that doesn’t mean he’s out or sidelined,” a source said.

“Boris is one of the people Chris has to deal with. Do not know where [Ephsteyn] presented his law license. They must be selling them at 7-11. I do not think it will serve the president to receive legal advice from Boris and I hope he sees it soon, “said one of the sources to the aforementioned medium.

It should be remembered that Boris Epshteyn graduated from Georgetown where he befriended Eric Trump, and years later graduated from law school and joined Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016.

“He always sought to be close to Trump,” said a former campaign official of the former president. “He tells [Donald Trump] what you always want to hear.

Days ago The New York Times reported that Boris testified before a grand jury in Atlanta and accepted that participated in efforts to keep Trump in power despite his loss in 2020; his name appeared in emails related to the fake electors scheme.

Boris Epshteyn who is considered one of the lawyers closest to Trump faces an avalanche of criminal and civil complaints.

“After the 2020 election, when pretty much everyone disappeared off the face of the earth after Election Day, he was still there,” said another former Trump campaign official. “He was still there, he was still working, he was still trying to do what trump wanted even though everyone left.”

Reason why the Trump’s allies don’t think it’s a good thing to be advised by him in such delicate demands for a person with various problems that in the end they could end up dragging him down.
