The United States this Friday exceeded 100 million doses of vaccines administered, according to the data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

About 35 million people have been fully vaccinated (13.5% of the adult population) and nearly 66 million people have received at least one injection.

The CDC balance includes all remedies administered since it began in mid-December, still under former President Donald Trump.

Therefore, the promise of the new president has not yet been fulfilled, Joe Biden, who assured that during his first 100 days in power 100 million doses would be administered. Since Biden was installed in the White House on January 20, they have supplied more than 81.6 million vaccines.

Daily vaccination record

Actually, there are three vaccines that have been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. American authorities are working with manufacturers to streamline production and increase total supply of remedies.

The United States has gradually accelerated the vaccination rate since last January. Initially, the White House sought to administer a million daily remedies, something classified as a low target by some public health specialists. This Friday the record was reached since the campaign started: 2.9 million injections.

Seven weeks

This rhythm puts Biden’s goal at fingertips. During his speech on Thursday, he ordered states and other jurisdictions to be eligible to vaccinate all adults before May 1. Try to start like a seven-week sprint to increase vaccine inoculation.

To do this, they benefit of manufacturing enhancements that now increase dose storage after months of lean.

That is why Biden’s team is taking advantage to mobilize federal resources and send the cures to the Americans to whom he promised a relative normality in the face of July 4, the country’s Independence Day.
