A heavily armed commando broke into a house in the Coecillo neighborhood in León, Guanajuato and opened fire according to data collected by the newspaper The universal.

After the shooting, five members of a family were murdered, a woman, three men and a minor with just 11 yearsthe outlet reported. In addition, a 14-year-old girl and another girl were injured.

They also confirmed that around 7:00 p.m., two men whose identity was not recognized, entered the house located between Chayote and San Ignacio streets.

The reports reached the authorities thanks to the complaints from neighbors, who called the emergency service of the 911 for a barrage of shots that killed the family.

These subjects would have fled almost immediately in a red vehicle of which no further details were given. The authorities and paramedic services arrived at the scene to assist the wounded and initiate investigations.

Until now it is not known if the criminals went for a reckoning, for a fixed goal, or something about the motive for the murder, but the Criminal Investigation Agency is already investigating the events to clarify the fact.

Just in the first month of the year, Guanajuato is already emerging as one of the most violent states, since it has a streak of three massacres, a violent confrontation and the murder of a deputy of the National Action Party (PAN).

The massacres are not alien to the people of Guanajuato, since During 2020, the state was listed as the one with the highest number of registered multiple murders.

Across the country occurred 71 massacres in which they were killed at least 486 people in 22 states. The entities that reported the most cases were Guanajuato, with 20 massacres; Zacatecas, with 8, Michoacán, with 7; Guerrero, with 4, and San Luis Potosí, with 4.

In this context, the massacre that claimed the most victims was the one registered in Irapuato on the first day of July 2020, in the community of Arandas, where a command ran 27 young people and 5 injured in the Annex “Getting my life back”.

The victims were civilians, policemen, musicians, indigenous people and children who were traveling on roads or who were attacked while they were in their homes or inside their shops.
