Krispy Kreme is stepping up its popular promotion of free donuts or donuts for customers vaccinated for COVID-19 in the United States.

Starting August 30, the chain will give anyone with proof of vaccination two free donuts every day through September 5.

The promotion follows the full approval of the Pfizer / BioNTech covid-19 vaccine by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday.

In March, the chain began its promotion to encourage people to get vaccinated with a free donut a day for the rest of the year. So far, Krispy Kreme says it has given away more than 2.5 million donuts through the promotion.

The chain is also making a special heart-shaped donut to give away, in addition to a traditional glazed donut.

“We all expected to be near the end of this pandemic by now. We are not,” Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer Dave Skena said in a press release. “So, consider getting vaccinated if you haven’t already. And then enjoy and share two amazing donuts with our sincerest thanks.”

Krispy Kreme said it will continue its free daily donut drive through the end of the year. To qualify, clients must show their vaccination card. Anyone who has received at least one dose of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines is eligible.

The chain went public recently, but its share price might need a sugar jolt. The stock is down about 18% since its debut on July 1.
