Executive of the Trump Organization surrenders to authorities to face criminal charges

The former president Donald Trump’s chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg turned himself in to New York authorities to face criminal charges, court officials told Thursday ABC News.

Weisselberg arrived at the Manhattan district attorney’s office with his attorney hours after a grand jury indicted him and the Trump organization for charges expected to be revealed this afternoon.

A special grand jury in Manhattan voted Wednesday to indict the signing of Trump and its CFO.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Washington Post, the accusation will refer to the benefits in kind granted to the financial director of the holding, Allen Weisselberg, a loyalist among Trump’s followers, and that allegedly were not declared to the treasury .

Weisselberg must be presented to a judge on Thursday to inform him of the charges against him, according to the US media. Then the indictment must be made public.
