US President Joe Biden did not rule out this Thursday meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, during the G20 summit next month in Asia.

“That remains to be seen,” Biden declared. to reporters when asked if he will take advantage of the G20 meeting in Bali, Indonesia, to speak directly with Putin.

The White House had already said that it was not excluded.

For now, neither of them has confirmed the trip and the White House claims that if Putin attends the G20 summit, then Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky should also participate even if you are not a member of the group.

Biden earlier indicated that he is “sure” he will meet with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.if you attend the summit scheduled for November 15 and 16.

But it is not clear if Putin and Xi will attend the summit.

Russia has been isolated internationally since it invaded Ukraine, while the Chinese leader has limited foreign travel due to COVID-19.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said in an interview with Bloomberg in August that both Xi and Putin would attend the G20 in person.
