Speaking of brands…
How to improve your visibility on Instagram?
1. Leverage user-generated content
The user on Instagram is eminently active. If you manage to have a participatory community, use the content generated by others to bring them to your account. It’s basic psychology: we like to be recognized.
In addition, it will allow us to generate content without spending many resources. What is clear is that you must take care of the image and that your account follows consistent visual codes. This means that you do not upload anything, try to maintain uniformity.
What is clear is that nothing is going to work better for you than generating content thanks to your community and involving them. That’s what communities are about after all.
2. Use hashtags correctly
#It’s #not #about #labeling #any #thing. Be mischievous. It is about finding which hashtags you are going to use to improve your reach (which by default will tend to be very low, we already know what is happening in the networks owned by Facebook).
If #Love has a lot of competition and a lot of content is generated around it, it will not do you any good and you will only attract bots, which will not be of interest in building an active community. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more specific hashtag, one that is active but does not have so much content saturation, surely more people will find you thanks to that hashtag and you will be able to increase not only your reach but also your audience.
For this, there are several tools, one of our favorites is Displaypurposes and another is Hashtagify.
3. Link Stories and the feed correctly
From one side to the other. We see a lot of the typical NEW POST story but you also have to use it from the other side. Why not use a feed post to draw attention to new content in stories. Of course, do not use the same photo, try to link it in another way, for example: if there is a new post, from stories make a teaser. If there is a new series of stories (better than just one), from the feed make a summary of what you are going to find.
They are ideas, make them yours, but don’t miss the opportunity to look for links and try to increase reach, both in one format and another, whether in Reels or in the feed or in Stories.
4. Entertainment first, business later
What is Instagram today? It is an entertainment channel. Whether we like it or not. This means that the first thing you have to do is entertain your audience. We see it super clearly, the brands that manage to entertain, in whatever way, manage to have much greater engagement and organic reach than those that are wanting to impose their law through products, services, discounts, etc.
And it makes sense, think about how you use your Instagram and then try to get people to use your Instagram the same way. Voila, it works.
And don’t come with excuses, if you don’t know how to entertain, start by understanding which accounts today have the highest engagement and why.
5. Constantly look for new formulas
Success in a content or in a line of content will not be achieved the first time. Not the second. Probably not the eighth. Now, when you get it, don’t settle. Constantly looking for new formulas. Keep pulling the gum on what works for you while looking for new runs that deliver results. Only then will you get long-term audiences. There is nothing worse than a passing audience.
6. Try formats
Surveys come out in Stories, don’t take two days to start using them. Questions come up, same thing. One of the ingredients of content that generates results is surprise. If you wait to use a format when everyone has already tried it, you won’t be surprised. Same with memes. The same with the challenges. Try to be as adaptable as you can and adopt novelties as soon as possible. You may not get results with IGTV but persevere, you know that on Instagram the shortcut does not exist.
7. Don’t skimp on advertising
A good way to grow and capitalize on your success, as long as your content makes sense and you have an audience that validates that your content makes sense, is through advertising. Don’t skimp on investing in paid social when your content efforts need extra fuel.
Either you are the first or you do something very different. Everything else will be predictable.
