The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Nevada Tax Free Coalition have partnered to provide free tax preparation to Las Vegas residents.
The program is for workers of all ages who earn less than $58,000 per year. Although there are exceptions for those with more complicated tax returns.
There are recurring tax preparation sites from February 4 to April 15 in various parts of the city. It is recommended to make an appointment to avoid a long wait.
All tax preparers are certified by the IRS and volunteer under the Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
