A woman died after being hit by a car on Thursday morning as she crossed the northbound lanes on a stretch of the I-95 freeway northwest of Miami.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the woman was crossing near 79th Street in northwest Miami around 5:30 a.m. when she was hit by a white Toyota SUV.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries or details of the crash have been reported. An investigation is underway on this fact.
