The price monitoring experts at pricelisto.com compiled search volume data to find the five most Googled McDonald’s menu items in states across the country.
McDonald’s most sought after hamburger is the Big Mac, one of the chain’s flagship items. This popular $5.47 burger ranks #1 in 49 states across the country.
The Big Mac is McDonald’s most searched product, with 148,820 searches for “Big Mac” per month in all states.
The second most popular item on the McDonald’s menu is the Egg McMuffin with 88,520 searches in all states. This currently priced $4.43 breakfast item first appeared in 1976.
Another of McDonald’s most searched foods is the McChicken, the $2.01 sandwich ranks third in popularity on Google with 80,760 searches per month in all states.
As for drinks, McDonald’s Iced Coffee is one of the most sought after on the menu in 10 states.
McDonald’s most popular hamburger has fans who have even achieved a Guinness record. A Wisconsin man is 50 years old eating Big Mac burgers every day and has the most Big Mac burgers in his life.
Donald Gorske of Fond du Lac ordered the first Big Mac from him on May 17, 1972, at the McDonald’s restaurant on S. Military Road.
In five decades, he has only missed McDonald’s eight days. As of August 2021, Guinness World Records listed Gorske as having consumed a total of 32,340 Big Macs.
