There generation Z, as Millennials have done before through their own methods, has just invented a new method to flirt and this has been confirmed by Instagram itself. They use a number code that they place strategically in the notes tool of this application to indicate, in a discreet way and that not everyone understands, what is the initial of the person they like or to send a message of affection to a good friend or girlfriend.
So don’t be surprised to see compositions like: o22, o99, o43, o84, o23 o33, because they have started to sprout and since April 5, 2023 at least 1.3 million people worldwide, according to Meta data, have already used it in their notes.
More precisely, these codes can be translated as follows: o22 is A, o43 is E, o 84 is L, o23 is S and o33 is M; so if you see one on Instagram, don’t doubt that the person who wrote it is trying to send some message to another that begins with one of these initials.
