Orlando Florida. – A teacher at River Springs Middle School in Volusia County has been arrested for child abuse after she was caught on camera punching an 11-year-old boy with autism.

Kelly Falcon, as the teacher has been identified, allegedly grabbed the minor by the arms, thighs, legs and slapped him during lunchtime after the child tried to go play with the dirt, according to the affidavit.

The Directorate for Children and Families (DCF) was contacted by the school authorities after several witnesses denounced the teacher.

According to witnesses interviewed by the authorities, this is not the first time that the accused has touched a student. In fact, he said that on one occasion, Falcon pushed another student onto a desk in a classroom.

For her part, the accused told the authorities that she wanted to prevent him from playing with the earth, so she took him to the table and made him sit down. He also said he grabbed him to stop the little one from putting his hand in the diaper because he wanted to touch his feces.

However, she said the miner started kicking her, so she continued to hold him.

For its part, Volusia County Schools condemned Falcon’s alleged actions. “This type of behavior will not be tolerated by schools in Volusia County. Falcon is no longer employed by the District. The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to cooperate fully with local authorities in this ongoing investigation,” they said in written statements.
