SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH- Periods of light snowfall will continue in parts of northern and central Utah as well as Uinta County, Wyoming throughout the week, the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City reported.

Another round of minor snow is expected in the mountains and valleys late Wednesday through Thursday.

Northern, central Utah, Uinta County and Wyoming are expected to have winter driving conditions. Traction law restrictions may apply.

On Monday, areas of light snow showers will persist north and central Utah, but will quickly diminish by mid-morning. Conditions will improve quickly by midday.

Isolated snow showers are expected in northern Utah and southwestern Wyoming in the afternoon hours, however, the impact will be minimal.

On Wednesday and Thursday, another cold storm system will move in overnight into the morning would likely bring 2 inches of snow in the valley and less than 10 inches of snow in the mountains.

By the weekend a warmer and wetter storm system will bring rain in the valley and snow in the mountains.

Currently there is a 50-70% chance of more than 12 inches of snow in the mountains of northern Utah and a half inch of rain in the northern and central valleys, with lesser amounts in southern Utah.
