Firefighters are investigating a fire involving two Tesla vehicles that broke out Monday morning at a Fort Lauderdale dealership.
Fort Lauderdale firefighters reported that shortly after 6:30 a.m. they were alerted to a burning vehicle in the area of 2731 North Federal Highway, where a Tesla dealership with a service center operates.
Upon arrival, units found a vehicle engulfed in flames and fire spreading to an adjacent Tesla. Crews quickly contained and extinguished the fire.
The vehicle involved sustained significant damage, while the adjacent vehicle suffered only bodily damage. Crews worked to cool the vehicle’s batteries.
Firefighters said they were investigating the cause of the fire and said it was an in-service vehicle and not a new dealership vehicle.
