Two people have died after a small plane crashed Sunday night at Palm Beach County Airport in Lantana.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to the crash area shortly before 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the plane engulfed in flames. Palm Beach firefighters rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.
Officials said the bodies of two men were found in the crashed plane. The identity of the victims has not been released.
Officials said the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident.
