Two people died and one more was injured Saturday night after a shooting reported at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle, Washington, according to local police, who have yet to apprehend the person responsible for the incident that has outraged the community.
Around 10:30 p.m., police responded to Cal Anderson Park for reports of a shooting involving multiple victims. Officers located three men with gunshot wounds and rendered aid until members of the Seattle Fire Department arrived on the scene.
Despite the efforts of Seattle police and firefighters to save all of the gunshot victims, one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics transported the other two victims to Harborview Medical Center, where a second man later died of his wounds, while the other remains in critical condition.
According to local police, witnesses say a fourth man was involved in the shooting, but left the scene before police arrived. Local authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call in and capture the subject. Homicide detectives will lead the ongoing investigation.
