The bodies of a man and a woman were found inside a vehicle by a towing company in Azusa on Wednesday, authorities said.

Irwindale Police Department officers responded to Jan’s tow around 12:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man being found dead in a vehicle being towed from an Arco gas station at 110 E. Longden Ave. in Irwindale, according to Sgt. Diego Cornejo.

When officers arrived at Jan’s Towing, they conducted a preliminary investigation and found the man and woman dead in the vehicle.

Rudy Salazar was sentenced to 25 years in prison after stealing a tow truck and crashing it through the door of a Colorado police department.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to the location and officially pronounced the man and woman dead at the scene.

Detectives also visited Arco’s station, Cornejo said.

The names of the deceased are withheld pending notification of next of kin by the coroner’s office.
