Authorities in Wisconsin warned the public at 8:52 PM local time to be cautious if traveling on the interstate 41 highway, as the truck was blocking several lanes. An update one hour later stated that all southbound lanes were closed while cleanup crews attempted to clear the accident debris.
The interstate 41 highway connects Milwaukee with Green Bay as it travels west of Lake Winnebago. The truck was carrying around 40,000 pounds of corn when it overturned on Thursday night. The unidentified driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries in the accident. There were no reports of any corn spillage on the road.
