Amateur football encountered a misfortune this weekend involving atminors who lost their lives in a car accidente when they were going to see a match of the Catalan fourth division.
It all happened at 4 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday at kilometer 1 of the TV-3022 highway in El Perello, Tarragona. The vehicle skidded off the road and into a ravine just before catching fire.
According to the ‘Servei Catalá de Transit’ inside the car were three players of CF Camarles (Catalan grassroots team) deceased, in addition to the driver, 19 years old, it remains hospitalized in critical condition at Vall d’Heron hospital in Barcelona.

The Minister of the Interior of the Generalitat, Joan Ignasi Elena, transmitted his condolences on the networks: “There are no words to describe the loss of life on the road.. The government and the whole country stand in solidarity with the families and with the entire municipality of Camarles.”
The mayor of Camares, Ramón Brull, also lamented this tragedy: “It’s a shame for the people“, he said on ‘TVE’.
