NEW YORK – Authorities have identified the three people who died of an apparent drug overdose at a building in Westchester County over the weekend. A fourth person, the one who called 911, remains in critical condition.
New Rochelle police said all three men who died lived in the city. They were Carl Encarnacion, 43, Danny Howard, 49, and Sean Thomas Windley, 28, authorities said Monday.
The fourth victim is from Mt. Vernon. This name has not been published. Police say he was the one who called 911, alerting dispatchers to the deadly situation. He was disoriented and unsure where he was, but investigators were able to ping his mobile phone and discovered him and the three others at a warehouse in Fountain Place around 3pm on Saturday.
The dead men were declared on the spot. The last survivor was reportedly hospitalized in critical condition.
The community held a vigil and released memorial balloons on Sunday.
