A 14-year-old boy and his father were injured in an altercation over the weekend in Homestead, requiring them to be airlifted to a nearby hospital, authorities said.
Homestead Police say the father was injured after receiving multiple gunshot wounds to the head and his son was shot in the abdomen during a confrontation that occurred in the neighborhood of 636 SW and 6th Avenue in Homestead. .
Both victims were airlifted to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and are now in stable condition, while the suspect is at large after fleeing the scene.
