Fort Lauderdale Police (FLPD) reported that several students were arrested after a threat was reported regarding a possible shooting at Dillard High School.
FLPD said around 10:35 a.m. they received information about the school’s precautionary closure in response to a threat of a possible shooting.
Police attended the scene and while inspecting campus buildings, they arrested several students, they confirmed.
Police said it was an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances under which this threat occurred.
The school remained in preventive closure at noon and will remain so during the police investigation.
