A new program recently approved by the Florida State Legislature, called Green Light, will allow drivers in Miami Dade County to pay their tickets with flexibility.

Miami Dade Acting Clerk Luis Montaldo says, “We’re talking in many cases about discounts of up to 30 percent.”

They also offer payment plans for drivers who, for reason X, cannot pay the full amount of their violation.

Esteban Bovo, Mayor of Hialeah, says, “The reality we live in in our city is that there are a lot of people driving without a license.”

In keeping with the program’s name, Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo gave the go-ahead for services county court officers could provide to the public, between March 10 and 19. I especially invite the residents of Hialeah not to miss this opportunity next Saturday, March 11, at City Hall.

“We are grateful for this initiative that is going to be carried out in the city of Hialeah and anyone who listens to me through these media should take advantage of this opportunity,” Bovo said.

Office hours will be in the morning, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you do not need to make an appointment. It should be noted that this is a countywide program and will be available in all countywide courts during regular hours.
