A winning $1,019,032 Mega Millions ticket has been sold in the Kern County town of Boron, the California Lottery reported.
The winner bought his fortune at the Love’s Travel Stop store on Boron Frontage Road North, near the junction of Highway 58 and US-395.
The numbers drawn in the Mega Millions game on Tuesday were 53-54-31-55-35 and only the number Mega 24 was missing.
No one has won the Mega Millions jackpot.
The town of Boron is located between Kern and San Bernardino counties along historic State Route 58.
The name of this community is derived from the chemical element of the periodic table Boron, since the world’s largest mine of this material is located here.
Boron’s history dates back to the early 1900s and has always been linked to mining activity in the region.
The next Mega Millions draw will take place this Friday at 8 p.m. PT and the jackpot will reach approximately $476 million.
