Orlando Florida. – The memorial honoring the victims of the Pulse massacre will not be built on the site where they lost their lives, according to the onePULSE foundation.
“The onePULSE Foundation is disappointed to announce that after months of negotiation, an agreement could not be reached with Barbara Poma (the onePULSE Foundation founder), her husband, Rosario Poma, and their business partner, Michael Panaggio, for Pulse’s full donation,” they said in a statement.
The Foundation had previously planned to build a permanent national monument at the site to commemorate the 49 lives lost, survivors, first responders and all affected by the June 12, 2016 tragedy.
Accordingly, onePULSE will provide an update in mid-May on the progress of plans for the National Pulse Memorial at a new site.
