Earlier this year, Ken Block tragically died in a snowmobile accident. A few months have passed since that day, Block’s daughter announced that she will be honoring her late father next month by riding and competing in the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb, as part of a tribute run.

Lia Block will take the wheel of the Hoonipigasus, a highly modified 1,400hp Porsche 911, and will participate in the event purely for fun, although in the Instagram post in which Lia confirmed her attendance, she said that it is was about “maybe just a warm-up for a future race…?”.

As for when the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb will take place, the event will take place on June 25 in Colorado, marking the 101st time the annual tournament has taken place.
