Is content on Twitch in crisis? Does he lack ambition? Running out of ideas? Creativity?

Even if it looks like a lie, this crisis we are currently experiencing on Twitch could be long overdue time. But, the human being is the only animal that stumbles twice with the same stone. We’ve already seen how YouTube fell bit by bit and now it’s Twitch’s turn.

Context

All that debate on the lack of originality on Twitch exploded with a son of Karim (@greyscaled_), Ibai and KOI staff as moderator and other responsibilities. In this thread, I made several important points: lack of creativity, comment on the current controversy, reactions and live by the viral clip.

Obviously not all creators do this, but many of the greatest, Yeah. It’s a way of creating content that a lot of people realize that as a result of you stepping into whatever channel you’re stepping into, they’ll do almost the same thing. Some like IlloJuan, Alexelcapo or Nil Ojeda do not follow these currents and it is demonstrated in their numbers that staying true to their essence is good.

Cyclical and easy-to-do content has always existed: If you can earn that much or more by watching a video and talking about a controversy instead of forcing yourself to do something different, you will. already passed in YoutubeOr creators reach a point where they lose ambition and settle into what works for them. But on Twitch it is different, the influence of the chat is bigger than a comment on a video and can force the streamer to touch topics or do more viral things just because they are asked to.

let’s be honest, taking a viral clip talking about something that’s trending is very striking. For 40 seconds you get millions of views and you reach new users or just stay on everyone’s lips. This is a very important factor, oddly enough many creators are looking for that viral clip consciously or unconsciously.

My opinion

Twitch has something YouTube doesn’t: Live. There comments and being able to interact in this moment made it easier to communicate with your audience and other streamers, making it easy to create salsas and develop them while you two are streaming.

It’s inevitable that the big chains will do mainstream stuff and be imitated by others. the big chains they affect so many types of people that they have to stay in a “neutral” zone where everyone who sees it understands what is going on.

If you go to a big chain you’re not going to expect a 2005 game or an IRL selling sneakers. how would they IlloJuan and Nil. these two are the spearhead of the “different”that’s why they succeed, they educate their audience that they’re going to do what they want and they’re going to do it well.

alexelcapo

IlloJuan He’s spent his entire career doing what he wants, playing what he loves and educate your audience He’s been like that for years. Like Alexelcapo and other creators who have always remained with their essence. On the other hand is Nile Ojedawhich instead of educating its audience on specific content, Every day choose to do something different and innovative.

Accommodating is something very appetizing What humans do without realizing it. It’s already happened on YouTube and it’s happened on Twitch. It’s hard to have ambition if you’re already among the best and those who come after copy what the big guys are doing thinking it’s the most effective, so everyone else is making the same content.

On YouTube, we’ve seen how many trends have come and gone: The pool boys, the thousand degree knives, the challenge or the murderous clowns. Basically, it’s the same thing happening now on Twitch :un content that the public demandsthat works, but it ends up being repetitive and at some point it will cease to interest.

But of course, this has a solution. Streamers understood what was going on and they can change it. They did not touch reality, they managed to see it in time. NOW, The ball is in your roof, Will they seek to find this essence of innovating and doing what they love? Or will they stay in the comfort that it costs so much to give up?

ibai, juan and arri in a stream

And, eye, innovating does not mean that every day they do something different. But, that they try new things and it’s not just about reacting and commenting on controversies. For example, when Ibai spent two weeks playing Clash Royale to get the Noble Giant, everyone looked up to him. Another thing is the seriesthere was a debate a long time ago that there were too many and, that’s how it is. If you must be 5 years old hours on a server, it is very difficult for you to search for new content later for your flow
