According to a high school principal, the math teacher placed photos of three students and wrote on them with extra cream, medium roast and dark roast.

Cary Altschuler, a math teacher at Lake Worth Community High, was reassigned from his post after the county school district called his actions “racist.”

Last month, the teacher placed three photos of students in the classroom and placed the title Extra Cream, Medium Roast and Dark Roast above each.

Heydi Cáseres, tiene a hija en la escuela, y dice que “en lo particular, creo que él rompió una línea de respeto hacia el estudiantado y no es lo más correcto ni lo más conveniente y espero que la escuela haya tomado las betters respuestas al issue”

The school principal sent an email to the parents apologizing for this upsetting situation, part of the email was read.

“Mr. Altschuler, the instructor, presented obviously offensive content that has no place in any school setting or anywhere”

The teacher has been reassigned to a position where he will not be in contact with students during the internal investigation.

This isn’t the first time this teacher has gotten into trouble, in 2016 while teaching in Broward County he was involved in another incident that resulted in disciplinary action against him.
