After the overwhelming episode 5 of the series The Last of Us on HBO, viewers are asking for more. And from this Monday at 3 a.m. the sixth chapter of the adaptation of the video game for television will be available in Spain (one hour less in the Canary Islands).
After changing its broadcast to Friday for the Super Bowl last Sunday, the series now returns to its usual schedule. And it does so at one of its high points following the confrontation on the outskirts of Kansas City with a fan-led horde of infected (a new variant of infected in time) and with the tragic story of Henry and Sam (we won’t tell you more in case you haven’t seen TLOU 1×05 yet).
In the sixth episode of the first season, a more leisurely rhythm will return in which human relations and tense calm will return to our lives. That and Tommy, Joel’s brother who has become the charismatic leader of a new town of survivors.
“The only ones who can betray you are those you trust” says the trailer for this sixth episode. What will happen to Joel and Ellie on their journey west in search of the Fireflies to try to find the key to the immunity of the character played by Bella Ramsey.
Kin is the title of The Last of Us 1×06 in which we will experience a family reunion but not as idyllic and exciting as one might imagine.
As we explained to you during the analysis the main differences and similarities of the video game with the television seriesHere you can’t get attached to the characters. First, because their fate is still hanging by a thread, and second, because their decisions are, in many cases, morally reprehensible. At least from our point of view because in reality the world of 2023 in which they live has become a real hell where many times everyone wins against everyone with the sole objective of surviving.
Adapting a video game to fiction on the small screen, or on streaming platforms, is a very difficult challenge. But the expectations in this new HBO Max project were all the higher since it is a hyper-realistic video game, probably one of the most successful in recent years.
A gigantic gaming experience that now comes to life on the small screen and has huge similarities thanks to the work of Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) but also has important (some even controversial) differences.
