A “very drunk” suspect has been arrested after a woman was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning in a Miami neighborhood of Little Havana, police have confirmed.

According to an arrest report, the crime happened just before 1:30 a.m. on the 900 block and 3rd street in Southwest Miami, when the victim was parking his car at home, but as she headed for the mailbox, three men arrived. behind him.

One of them pointed a gun at him and ordered him to sit down. According to the police report, the three individuals took the victim’s wedding ring, an iPhone 13, his Apple Watch, a backpack and the keys to his Honda Passport, then fled in the vehicle.

The victim was able to call the police from her boyfriend’s phone and gave authorities the location of his car based on his phone’s GPS location.

Officers arrived at an apartment complex on Northwest 71st Street, where they found the car and saw the three suspects jump over a fence, authorities said.

Two of the alleged suspects were able to flee on foot, but a third was arrested and later identified as Rosniel Ricardo Orfilia, 21.

Orfilia, who was wearing the same clothes as one of the suspects in the assault and car theft, was identified by the victim as one of three men who assaulted her outside her home, according to the authorities’ report. .

Police were unable to conduct an interview after the youngster was arrested because he was ‘very drunk’, but he was charged with armed robbery and car theft, for which he is being held without bail , according to county police records.

At this time, no information is available on the two other suspects who fled on foot and who are believed to have assaulted the victim.
