As another storm brings hail, snow and rain to Southern California, videos circulating from Disneyland in Orange County have people clinging to the idea that it snow in the happiest place on earth.
But you may need to change your mind.
Although something white is seen flying through the air and falling to the ground, it is not actually snow, it is grains of ice, or groupaccording to meteorologist David Biggar of our sister station NBC4.
“Video of graupel and possibly small hail at Disneyland as part of a thunderstorm this afternoon. It’s not snow,” Biggar said.
Videos captured by Twitter user @wogglebugg show what certainly looks like snow falling and piling up on umbrellas.
Since this weekend, a rare sight of snow-capped mountains has captivated Angelenos as a relentless storm batters the area. A blizzard warning has been issued for mountainous areas, the likes of which have not been seen since 1989.
