In the context of an unprecedented drought, the populations of Campomediano emerges from the waters of the marsh that bears his name. However, in one of the old houses there are human remains belonging to two men. This is the starting point of Droughta series of RTVE which failed resoundingly in its linear broadcast (it said goodbye with 297,000 viewers and 4%) and which is now sweeping netflix.
Many of you will have already seen its 8 episodes and you will wonder if there will be season 2 of Drought on Netflix. However, I don’t think the streaming platform is responsible for uncovering this mystery…
Will there be a season 2 of Drought?
It sounds harsh, but very few people have seen Drought in his show on 1. He also failed in his Portuguese pass (a 3.2% share in his last spell). So, if we look exclusively at audience data, The Drought Season 2 is Mission Impossible. However:

- In netflix, is the second most watched series in Spain. Only season 2 of Entrevías surpasses it, but it is above The Prince.
Even if it’s not the first time netflix buy a series, I highly doubt that the streaming platform is interested in acquiring the second season of Drought. Besides, the open airing ended barely a year ago so it doesn’t make sense to greenlight more chapters. Fortunately, almost all plots were closed in the final episode.
When does Drought Season 2 air on Netflix?
Given that Drought Season 2 Unconfirmedit makes no sense to talk about its release date. If the new chapters were announced, I will update this post with all the information. And from there, a year will pass until its premiere.
