Multiple Miami Dade Police Department units responded to a call for a shooting in the 500 block of South Biscayne River Drive in the Golden Glades area.

Upon arriving at this location, officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds who had also crashed a vehicle into a fence at a residence in the neighborhood.

The authorities have been investigating the scene for several hours, securing a large police perimeter because the suspected person responsible for this shooting has fled.

According to a witness who witnessed all this, the altercation occurred between two men. She says one was Hispanic and the other was black and apparently the fight was over an alleged robbery. The police have not yet confirmed this information, but here is what the woman told us: “they started fighting and then everything calmed down. The next thing I heard was 6-7 gunshots, the dark haired man ended up shot 4 times, this witness said.

This woman also told us that the Hispanic male is the one who apparently escaped in a blue colored vehicle. We are waiting for the police to confirm this information and if indeed this possible suspect could be hiding in one of the residences here in the sector.
