High winds in Clark County caused power outages throughout the Las Vegas Valley, affecting local residents and schools.
However, some schools will provide distance learning.
According to a news release from the Clark County School District (CCSD), the following schools will offer remote instruction on Wednesday: Sunrise Acres Elementary School, Roy Martin Middle School, Variety School, Mission High School, Goodsprings Elementary School and Sandy Valley Schools .
Families with students at the listed schools should monitor their emails for additional information.
District officials said they are in contact with NV Energy to keep up to date with the outages.
