Three apartment buildings were evacuated on Wednesday after a landslide in San Clemente, a town in Orange County, left the backs of buildings nearly collapsing down a steep hill.

Orange County Fire Authority crews responded around 8:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Buena Vista. Residents were evacuated from the buildings due to unstable conditions after the hill gave way during an overnight rainstorm.

The ace photo of firefighters they show where part of the hill seemed to disappear under what appeared to be a backyard.

“Buena Vista from Florencio Avenue to Colina Street and the footpath below have been closed,” OCFA reported on its Twitter account.

No injuries were reported.

All three buildings had yellow tags. Residents were asked to avoid the area.
