NEW YORK — A new report has ranked New York’s most expensive neighborhoods for potential buyers, with many family-friendly places topping the list.
According to real estate research site PropertyShark, Hudson shipyards it had the highest average sale price at just over $5.7 million. That’s a 6% price jump from 2022.
At the same time, sales at Hudson Yards are down 67%, meaning there are plenty of empty and expensive places in the neighborhood.
The second most expensive district is Tribecawhere the median selling price is $3.5 million. Vinegar Hill in Brooklyn placed third with $2.6 million, marking the first time a Brooklyn neighborhood has made the top three.
He followed SoHo with $2.2 million and Flatiron District with $1.95 million, according to the report.
In another first, a Bronx neighborhood has been ranked among the city’s 50 most expensive neighborhoods. The quiet neighborhood of fieldston ranked 41st, with median home prices up 149% year-over-year from $338,000 at the start of 2022 to $840,000 in 2023.
