A few months ago we told you about the takeover of Quantic Dream by NetEase, the Chinese giant which now owns 100% of the software house that gave birth to Heavy Rain and many other adventures. According to a well-known insider, the amount paid by the Eastern company to acquire the studio is now known.
Good Tom Henderson indeed revealed the economic details of the acquisition, which emerged thanks to a particular French law which takes the name of PACT. Due to the law in question, all employees of the company are in possession of shares of this company and, since the value of these shares is public, it was possible to calculate the amount paid by NetEase for seize the software house. According to Henderson, the transaction took approximately 100 million eurosQuantic Dream employees receiving remuneration comprising between 50,000 and 100,000 euros. Since David Cage owns 51% of Quantic Dream, the amount received from the boss should be around 50 million euros.
For the uninitiated, Quantic Dream is currently working on Star Wars Eclipse, and development is rumored not to be progressing in the best of ways.
