A viewer bought a car and was making payments, only to find the dealership then sold it to someone else. Confused and desperate, she called Telemundo 52 Responde.

He has been trying to resolve this situation since 2021 but he has hit a wall, luckily once we got involved the investigation could be intensified to clarify what happened.

“I was afraid the police would pull me over because the DMV told me, ‘if the police pull you over, they can take your car,'” said Flores, who bought a car that was also sold to someone else.

His nightmare began nearly two years ago, shortly after he purchased his Nissan Rogue pickup from a dealership.

“Everything was fine, I paid monthly installments until 2021, they sent me a check from Nissan for $500,” Flores added.

She called to ask why her payment had been returned, and what she was told surprised her.

“’You sold your car’, and I say, me? No! I didn’t sell my car, I’m bringing it here because’”!

José Godoy said that the most serious thing is that his bank did not accept that it was a fraud, because all the information used to obtain the money was correct. Fortunately, after Telemundo’s 52 Responde investigation, there was a response.

Ultimately, he said, they recognized the problem was with the dealership.

“He told me is that we wrongly sold the car, but we ask that you do not send a check until this is resolved,” Flores added.

And that’s where his odyssey began, because he says that, although they assured him that everything would be cleared up, a year later… He realized that the problem was not solved.

“The DMV notification for plate renewal didn’t come, and I went to the DMV and they said they didn’t send it to me because the car wasn’t in my name or that of Nissan,” Flores said.

Flores said he went back to the dealership.

“I went to Mission Hills, where I had picked up the car, and they told me there was nothing they could do because they were the new owners,” Flores said.

So right there he decided he was going to call Telemundo 52 Responde.

And we immediately contacted the dealership, where they reiterated what happened in the last administration, so they referred us to the previous owners and the company that purchased the vehicle, and after our investigations, Teresa quickly saw the results.

“They started calling me from Mission Hills Nissan, and the previous owners, and the company they said had bought the car, called me. All three called me the same day…Scared,” a he declared.

And now yes, he says, he has already received the answer he has been waiting for for two years.

Flores said he finally received a document from the DMV indicating that they were already doing something.
