NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department reports that a 9-year-old girl was fatally hit by a car in Queens on Friday.
The incident took place in Astoria and the girl was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital, according to police sources.
The driver behind the involved car remained at the scene after the collision.
