There’s still a long way to go before the PS6 is even announced, but an official document has the community excited

Silly, it’s been two and a half years since the PS5 came out, even though it still looks to much of the world like a recent next-gen console. But of course now It’s still early to talk about a new generation of consoles, i.e. the one who would drive PlayStation 6 and its corresponding Xbox brand.

Maybe it’s possible to talk about a PlayStation 5 Slim, which is more likely to become something real much earlier than many of us think. You can take a look at it’s fasting to see the latest rumors about said PS5 edition.

But getting back to the subject of the PlayStation 6, as I said, It’s still too early to know when the console will be released or talk about it, but it’s only an official document of Microsoft in which mentions a specific year and the aforementioned next-gen console from Sony. I leave you all the details below.

Will the PS6 arrive in 2027?

This happened Reddit where they echoed what was written by Microsoft in one of the documents the company sent to regulators around the world on the occasion of its agree with Activision Blizzard. At some point in these documents, Microsoft says the following:

  • They said that They proposed that Call of Duty would continue to release on PlayStation until 2027
  • Then they refer directly to the release date of the next next generation console sony, leaving her like “redacted” (i.e. they already mentioned it)
  • But immediately after, they say they would give PlayStation access to Call of Duty until then
  • Considering they previously mentioned 2027 as the last year PlayStation will have access to Call of Duty, then it’s easy to conclude that The PlayStation 6 will be released in 2027

Added to this is that there is generally a 7-year gap between one generation and the next, one would therefore assume that, given that the PS5 was released in 2020, It would make perfect sense for the PS6 to come out in 2027. What do you think of all this?
