The “Rolling Consulate” program of the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeless, will travel to various areas of the county during the month of May 2023 to provide services to Mexican citizens of Los Angeles County.

Some services that they could take advantage of are the issuance of passports, consular registrations and records for voter identification application.


The Mexican government launched on March 1, 2022 a new appointment system for consular procedures. The new system, “My Consulate”, will allow greater capacity to serve users.

“There are 400 people and they will be answering about 35,000 calls,” said Marcela Osorio, Mexico’s consul general in Los Angeles.

However, Consul Osorio asks his compatriots to report him if something is not working properly.

Walk-ins will not be received on dates other than those mentioned above.

Officials from the Mexican Consulate General in Los Angeles are advising the public to be vigilant with people who offer services to arrange dates in exchange for money, as it is a scam.

The Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles issued an alert to the community after noticing that there are people charging to make an appointment at diplomatic headquarters.
