One person died Wednesday in Plantation, amid an investigation by US Marshals officers who were tracking a homicide suspect.
A large police presence was seen in the Cleary Boulevard area between Pine Island Road and Lauderdale West Drive, surrounding a body that was seen covered in a yellow tarp on the side of the road.
Plantation police officials said the man may be linked to a weekend shooting at a Hallandale Beach resort in which a woman was killed and another injured.
At that time, authorities confirmed that the man who shot the victims in the valet parking lot of the Beach Walk Resort and Residences and then fled.
The two injured were taken to Aventura Hospital where the woman died, while the man remained in critical condition, while the suspect was on the run. According to Hallandale police, it was apparently a case related to domestic violence.
