Cellphone video captured the moment an attempted robbery turned into a violent stabbing scene Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a downtown Miami apartment building.
The incident happened in the Art Plaza apartment complex. Miami police said around 2 p.m. about an attempted carjacking at the scene.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a man with multiple injuries to his hands, according to the police.
Video shows the suspect running after failing to get the victim to drop off the bag which police say was filled with jewelry.
Police say the victim is expected to recover from his injuries.
